Petyr, Made his way hastily out of the hotel and into a back alley, sprinting past the few remaining vampires and with a bit of luck he lost his pursuers. he began to slow down, and change back into his human form, he had taken a major beating. He knew he was hurt, but he didn't realize how badly. He fell to his knees and gasped, hoping he could catch a breath. before they could find him. He just needed to lick his wounds, that's all He wasn't going to let them get him like this. He would win. He looked back at his calf, A good portion had been removed in the fight with the vampires. He had killed four of them, but there where scores more.
"Man.. This actually hurts."
after his statement he shot his glance behind him. Someone was here, he could feel it, he made a move to get up and run but he fell back down. and he gritted his teeth, preparing to lash out at his new enemy, like a wounded and cornered dog under the soft glow of crescent moon.

Tessa hurried along the streets to get to her flat quickly. She wasn't particularly happy that she had to go through this neighbourhood at night time to get hom. Her friends had told her that the Hotel Dumort was around here and she was checking the road to cross it and keep walking on the other side. It seemed safer to have at least a road between her and the hotel. She knew she could turn into a vampire if necessary, but she'd really rather not get confronted by any vampires today.
The moment she turned to cross the road she saw a shadow moving in the corner of her eye. Turning back towards it she saw a figure collapsing in an alley. Whoever that was seemed to be extremely exhausted and maybe hurt. Tessa was debating wether she should go and help or just leave and ignore whoever it was. Chances were the Vampires were after him and she would like to stay out of that fight. It wasn't her fight after all and she had learned that it was better not to get on the bad side of a vampire coven. And the New York one was extremely strong.
Without worrying more she started to walk towards the figure, who tried to get back up but failing. He must think I'm his enemy. Tessa only approached carefully, after figuring that out and stopped far enough away for the person to realise that she meant no harm. "Are you hurt?", she said loud enough for him to hear "Can I help you somehow?

"A girl? What is she doing here? She needs to get out of here before they find me. Or else shes gonna get hurt."Petyr thought too himself.
Before Petyr made finished speaking two shadows jumped from the building above him and danced down toward the girl, in desperation he dashed toward the girl, transforming and getting in the way of the shadows attacks. They connected with Petyr's back. and he howled swiping back at one of the shadows kicking him into the wall leaving a nice dent in the wall as he connected, Petyr in his wolf form landed in front of the girl two newly made gashes freshly grooved into his back, He was abnormal, in the fact that he was about double the size of a normal werewolf. The shadow then landed near the fallen one and helping the other off after screaming in a hellish screech.
"Sorry bout' that little lady..."
Petyr said as he helplessly transformed spent of all energy revealing his massive body structure, covered in a mix of blood. Gasping for air. Those gashes on his back had pierced his left lung making it harder to breath.

Werewolf Tessa thought and was a little annoyed that whoever that guy was, seemed to think that she was a helpless little girl. Admittedly, she was relieved that he was a werewolf. She knew that they healed a lot quicker than any human being ever would, not quite as quick as shadowhunters with their runes, but quick enough to survive usually fatal injuries.
When one of the vampires crashed into the wall Tessa barely blinked, she was not surprised that something like that happened here. She had seen so much worse in her life time, this was really nothing. Only when the remaining vampire screeched loudly, probably enraged about his friends fate, she winced. It wasn't exactely a becomming noise and she could still feel it in her ears after the two vampires had vanished.
"Little lady?", she said exasperated. No one had ever called her little. Tessa had always been on the taller side of average women hight. "Very funny. Now you look like you could need some help. Are you completely out of your mind to trespass vampire property at night? Not that it is ever smart, but I would recommend day time for such an adventure. They wouldn't be able to follow you out then..."She trailed off as the man collapsed and transformed back to human form again. She gently checked him for wounds. One of his calves seemed to have been bitten half off and there were two gashes in his back that looked like they ran deeply. She assumed his lungs were punctured, by how hard he was breathing. "Next time you let me handle the vampires", she told him with a firm voice. "Do you understand?"

"I got my reasons, besides..I am, Fine, and no offence, you didn't notice either of them, or their buddies."
petyr stammered, pointing at the distant rooftops, revealing the other three figures in the distance. he really wasn't good with women so he ended his statement with a harsh and more than rough tone.
" Not to be a Ass but you honestly don't look like much. and although you smell like magic, you don't seem strong enough to take on all of them. And you really don't want to anger those vampires do ya? This way you aren't their target.. This is my problem alone."
He said trying to stand again only shifting his weight to one side. and pushing his self into a sitting position ignoring his pain, and most obviously eye contact with her. He began to bandage his leg up the best he could by ripping his other pants leg to get some fabric to stop the bleeding. Ignoring the gashes on his back.

Tessa shot a quick glance in the direction that the wolf was indicating. She wasn't paticularly surprised or bothered by the sight of three vampires. "Oh. I did notice the ones attacking you, but in my life time I have cone to the conclusion, that it is usually easier to keep a calm demeanour. Vampires have quite a temper and one should not mess with them, like you did. Not smart." The man's harsh tone in speaking to her surprised her. She was only here to help him and even though he didn't know it, she had a better chance against them than he did. As far as she had found out, the head of their coven was originally Camille Bellcourt and then Raphael Santiago took over. So she did have the Camille card up her sleve. Tessa didn't wish to use it though.
"I honestly don't think I have done anything to deserve your rough tone, sir. All I wanted to do was help, so why won't you let me?" She didn't think he would let her help on his own, so she just took the fabric out of his grasp and tied it expertly around the wound in his leg. When her hand brushed his bare skin a flash of personalitly overwhelmed her mind, she could feel great stubbornness, but also a lot of love. So that must be why he went on a suicide mission. Love... Tessa had seen people do a lot of stupid things for love. Even herself as she had offered herself captive to ensure her fiances survival. James... She let out an involuntary sigh at that thought.
"You do realise, that there is never a problem that has to be one's own problem. There is always people to help around, if you only ask them. They might even come up with better plans to get to the goal." She rolled her eyes, thinking of how very stupid this man had to be to enter the hotel at all let alone on his own and at night. "If I wish to do so, I have each and every single one of the vampires under my contol in no time at all, so don't worry about me. If I was in your position however, I would be quite worried about the gashes in my back. They might be starting to heal already, but even werewolves like to use medecin." Tessa spoke the words bluntly, not bothering to adjust her tone to sound nice. She had never been one to hold back her thoughts and she was not going to start now.

"If you are so damn sure of yourself why didn't you protect yourself? Well? You think I would have just let my self get hurt like that? I'm not stupid. I stopped them from targeting you!"
Petyr exclaimed almost in a bark. Drawing himself close to her with not only his words but almost as a lunge. Towering over her. He retreated away after a moment almost awkward in a way he shyed away from her turning his face to the sky and closing his eyes. The hint of mositure hitting his nose, it would rain soon. He opened his eyes his gaze still fixed at the sky.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to snap at you...and my back is fine.. medications aren't a handicap I indulge in, and those vampires.. Those aren't your coven regulars They aren't from around here. you mean to tell me you didn't hear that screech? That isn't normal."
Petyr winced as she applied the fabric around his slowly healing leg, it was odd even for a wolf his body recovered quickly.she helped him with securing it so that it would stop the bleeding. Looking at the ground, almost as if he wanted to say something, to say thank you, but it looked painful for him to say it.
"It's gonna rain soon."
He Spoke almost regretful an apologetic tone that still contained his familiar roughness.

Tessa kept her face completely blank when his angry words rushed out of him. Knowing people after a fight, she understood that his body had to get rid of the adrenaline before you could take anything they said too seriously. So instead of replying right away she decided to let him rant on a bit and he finally seemed to relax as he closed his eyes and turned his face to the sky. When he told her that it was going to rain soon, she had to hold back an impatiant reply. She hated it when people stated the obvious. Instead she decided to finally reply to what he had said to her.
"They might have been on their way to attack me, but you just decided to jump inbetween and take the blow. There was no need for me to act on anything. I don't take pride in showing off my power to anyone and you are no exception. Just trust me on this one, I can be as strong as you are in a hearbeat. I simply observe and consider a situation before I act irrationally...". Tessa leveled her voice to sound just like she was talking about the weather or any other every-day topic. She had accepted her shapeshifting ability, but because it was unique in the world, she risked exposure when using it. People had tried to get her to do unspeakable things before, baiting her with a hugh amount of money. But she generally associated herself with the good guys and would never do anything that could make her look bad.
"See I think, you just really hurt that vampires feeling. And before you say it, yes, even vampires feel. I know it. You can't just go around trying to kill them. They have family, just like you do, I am sure. I'm assuming you have a reason for doing what you did, but killing randomly is not going to get you what you want or need." Tessa shrugged her shoulders and gave the stranger a smile. "See, maybe I can help you, but you would have to explain your story to me and that seems to be a complicated one, judging by what I gathered from your actions." As usual she could not keep up much of a barrier towards the stranger. Tessa just always felt the need to help and do the right thing, it had almost destroyed her before. But she would do it again, given the right reason and there was only one person in the world who could provide such a reason. Jem... in an involuntary action she reached to her throat touching the jade pendant that he had given to her so many years ago.
Coming back to the real world she said: "Now, can I help you at all here, getting you to your home or whatever? Because I had rather get moving either with you to help you or without you to get home and out of that rain, which you predicted."

"Funny thing is I ain't got one...atleast not around here..or anywhere..but I do have a sis- Hey! watch it...That stings damn it!
he replied softly until she continued to fiddle with his wounds. Barking at her, so he could hide his embarrassment. He really didn't know anything on how to react with women and to Tessa it must seem painfully obvious.
"She lives somewhere in this city. but as to where, well...I ain't got a clue.So you tell me little lady. If you really want to help me I need a place to properly Clean and dress this, and to let it heal..and before you ask yes, I heal really fast, but infection is still a problem."
Petyr responded in a cold manner. bareily standing on his own, but out of sure will..or stupidity he forced himself up. that's when he got his first real glimpse of her, A natural beauty. he quickly diverted his eyes.
" Uh..Thank you by the way..The names Petyr. Petyr Rumancek.

***I am typing this on my phone so excuse typos please***
"Sorry for that", Tessa said in an apologetic tone. "It needed adjusting. There is no need for you to bleed out today, is there?" She did not comment on his family situation since it seemed to be something that made him uncomfortable even though she would have loved to know what had happened to them. At least he had a sister so there was someone here, if he could find her.
She rolled her eyes as the guy forced himself into a standing position. Men... always need to look tough infront of women... dear god. "Also would you refrain from calling me 'little lady'? It does not exactly sound like an endearment." She made a choice then, that she hoped she didn't have to regret later. "See my place is only one block away from here, closer than any hospital or wolvespack. I can help you there. By no means do I usually invite strangers into my house but desperate times call for desperate measures and you are in no fit state to walk any further than a block."
Tessa wasn't sure wether he needed help in walking and if she had to support him. If she did that would mean she would have to giver her secret away and ahe was not ready to do that just yet. "I am Theresa Herondale. Call me Tessa, please. Can you walk on your own or do you need me to support you? I can if you really need me to..., she let her voice fade into nothing when she realisednshe had probably juat invoted a lunatic intonher flat...

Petyr averted his eyes back to the hotel as she spoke, he almost stood in defiance to it, it was something much more than just a old feud of werewolves and vampires, Something was troubling him. When she offered to help him walk he looked at her.
"You shouldn't get involved, I can't guarantee your safety.. But "
Petyr took a long painful look back at the hotel, his silver eyes narrowing with anger and compassion. Tessa then slid under his left arm and placed it over her shoulder
"You know, You're insane right?...Never the less thanks. Don't know how much farther I would've gotten on my own, also its not like you have a name tag on your chest or anything. Tessa."

Tessa started walking towards her flat, thinking over and over, that this was probably the worst idea she had had since she had come to New York. "Petyr, will you stop trying to tell me that this is not safe? I have done worse things that you don't even want to know about. And by all means those vampires have never seen me in their life. All of their years." Petyr was really heavy, but thankfully Tessa had a lot of lean muscle left over from the fighting training she had had before her body had stopped changing.
"Besides, I am not the one insane here. I think I have already pointed out, that the insane one of us two is definitely you. There is no question about that." Under Petyr's heavy weight Tessa considered bulking up a little and change into someone stronger than her, but she didn't know who she could pick. Petyr was no option as she would be just the same hurt version of him. Camille, her favourite when it came to strength, was out of the question as Petyr was a werewolve. And her other options were all dead by now, not exactly helpfull. Tessa stopped dead as she realised that she had almost walked past the apartment complex that she lived in. "Well here we are."
